The Direct Vision Standard

DVS aims to make the capital’s streets safer by requiring all HGVs over 12 tonnes to obtain a safety permit. The scheme measures how much an HGV driver can see through their cab windows, and aims to eliminate all deaths and serious injuries on London’s transport network by 2041.
