RS Connect is the go to collaborator for businesses looking to integrate telemetry into their commercial proposition or re-engineer their existing offering. Our wealth of engineering knowledge and unsurpassed experience in installation of telematics equipment, cameras, fuel monitors, alarms, trackers – in fact, any retro-fit auto electrical products – has earned us our place as solutions provider to the broad client set that we are proud to serve.

We have built a team at RS Connect that is proud of the business, cares about our brand and our customers and is committed and motivated to delivering exceptional service in a user friendly manner. From the state of the art multi lingual communications hub at our head office right through to completion of an installation by our uniformed engineers, we are professional, knowledgeable and dependable.

RS Connect Group incorporates three successful aftermarket installation and fleet solution companies, following RS Connect’s recent acquisition of Signals (retaining a strong hold in the emergency service sector) and eDrive (currently re-branding to RS Connect Ireland). The group’s goals are to provide professional and top quality telematics installation services to all private households and commercial businesses in any sector. Based throughout Ireland and the UK with headquarters in Birmingham, RS Connect Group forms Europe’s largest qualified installation network in the industry.

RS Connect is incorporated bringing together over 50 years combined auto electrical engineering experience to become an early stage adopter of vehicle telematics systems installations.

Insure the Box, one of the first UK young driver telematics insurance companies launches its consumer product with RS Connect chosen as its installations partner. Over the following 12 months, RS wins similar contracts with other insurers offering telematics insurance policies.

During the 12 month period to end 2012 RS Connect sees growth of its business in excess of 750% without external assistance or debt; volumes across insurance and fleet telematics grow exponentially and RS Connect invests in its people in order to support the growth of its partners.

The business consumes human resource at such a rate that the management team creates its own onsite, full time apprentice training academy in partnership with Aston University Engineering Academy to supply the demand for highly qualified auto electrical engineers. The academy assures the calibre of future RS Connect engineers and creates a process which turns out consistently highly trained auto electricians.

RS Connect is chosen as installations partner for Tescobank, the RAC and other household brands as well as working with some of the UK and Europe’s largest fleet businesses. At the same time the business makes significant inroads into becoming a pan European solutions partner for telematics and devices with contracts closed in several major European locations.

RS Connect makes quantum leaps in securing a multi-million GBP investment from Beech Tree Private Equity to invest in geographical and product expansion. At the same time, investment is made to augment its management team with several strategic appointments. Since closing the private equity deal RS Connect has continued to push its domestic and global expansion in the fleet installations with footprints across most of Europe, and into South East Asia.

RS Connect undergoes a strategic expansion through the acquisition of its two main competitors, eDrive and Signals. Both aftermarket and fleet solutions providers add expertise, experience, and individual strengths to RS Connect to form the UK’s single unrivaled leader in vehicle installations. eDrive has merged with RS Connect as RS Connect (Ireland) and both focus on insurance telematics and fleet installations while Signals retains its strong hold in the government fleet sector as a separate entity.

RS Connect enhances its standing in the Emergency Services market after completing full vehicle conversions for the fleets of Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police. The project was completed in house at the Coleshill, HQ – the first of its kind in RS history. Since completing the project ahead of schedule, RS has made strides in securing various other work for the Emergency Services at our HQ and numerous other sites across the UK.
